While in law school, Ms. Stepanian worked as an associate private investigator and learned how to conduct her own investigations in the field. As an attorney, Ms. Stepanian works closely with her investigators to deeply develop the facts in each case, giving her clients a special edge when their case is presented to the prosecution or litigated in court.

 In federal cases, Ms. Stepanian works with her father attorney Michael Stepanian. A founding member of HALO (Haight Ashbury Legal Organization) that was located in the lower floor of 710 Ashbury Street, home of The Grateful Dead, attorney Michael Stepanian represented those arrested on drug charges when no other attorney in San Francisco would. Today, the Stepanian family continues the fifty year tradition of representing the criminally accused at their legendary law offices located at 819 Eddy Street in San Francisco.

In 2021, Ms. Stepanian was selected by the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) to become a member of the Independent Defense Program (IDP), and she continues to accept appointments of criminal cases in several Los Angeles County Superior Courts.

Ms. Stepanian will personally work on your case as her own, and not hand it over to a less experienced lawyer to do the work. Every step in a case involves strategy, calculation and a deep understanding of the law and facts. Ms. Stepanian gives you the attention you need during one of the most difficult times in your life.

As an advocate of the science and medical value of psychedelics, in 2021, Ms. Stepanian spoke in front of the Arcata City Council and successfully passed a resolution to decriminalize plant psychedelics in the City of Arcata in Humboldt County, California.

In September of 2022, Ms. Stepanian was one of five speakers to present a resolution to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to decriminalize plant-based psychedelics, which passed unanimously.

 

Through Ms. Stepanian’s close ties with a wide range of specialists, she co-created a West Coast based law group with contract attorneys and licensing experts with decades of experience representing clients involved in business transactions, corporate formation and entertainment law. Ms. Stepanian has an active practice in Northern and Southern California.
